The toughest hole on the course and again can be the downfall of of many.

The tee and green are at the same level, but in between lies the Reay Burn and a steep escarpment to negotiate.

Take plenty of club here, there are no prizes for being short.

Reay burn comes into play on the 7th hole where it traverses the fairway. The majestic heron can often be seen stealthily hunting out small fish and invertebrates within the water particularly on quieter days where golfing traffic is limited.

Previous surveys of this burn have revealed a tremendous amount of wildlife residing including brown trout, great crested newt and invertebrates such as crayfish.

Vegetation has been allowed to develop on the bank sides of the burn to facilitate wildlife dispersal within the course and also to provide localised habitat for semi-aquatic flora and fauna.
